testimonials
“Dr. Danah's workshop helped expand my understanding of Autism and Neurodivergence as diversity issues. As a result of this training, I have a ton of resources and have connected with other providers in a way that is really unique. I feel better equipped to work with Autistic individuals, parents of Autistic kids, and spouses of Autistic humans in a more nuanced manner. This learning has also been profoundly impactful in my role as a parent of an Autistic child at home.” Dr. Cora Schuhmacher, PsyD
“I am so thankful for this workshop! I feel better equipped to support my neurodiverse clients as well as pick it up in my assessment. I’m excited to put my learning into practice.” Lisa Clement, LISW
“Dr. Danah is a compassionate and well versed provider who taught me many things I wouldn’t otherwise know! I appreciated the resources provided, the comparative qualities around diagnoses, and the socio-cultural considerations that are too often missed. Dr. Danah created an affirming and supportive environment for learning more about ASD and the inclusion of tactile supports was great!” Madi Musson, LMFT
“The workshop exceeded by expectations. The opportunity to create a local sense of community on this topic was a need I didn’t recognize I needed. You certainly expanded my own development as to all the ways I ca build a more affirming practice.” Dr. Catalina D’Achiardi-Ressler, PhD
“I knew I had blind spots and lacked true understanding of Autism and feel now I can meet my clients much better and with more real understanding and acceptance.” Lacy Doyle, LMFT
“The workshop was very informative and and information was presented in a way that was very accessible. It was helpful for me to hear diverse experiences from participants and better understand key features of a neurodivergent brainstyle. Dr. Danah made the environment very conducive to learning and was welcoming of different learning styles and perspectives.” Dr. Kathryn Wierda, PhD
what to expect from my workshops
-
safe place to grow
Neurodivergence is perhaps one of our most significant blind spots because it is often invisible on the outside. In this workshop, we’ll explore the reasons behind its subtlety and how to create a safe space for this unique brainstyle to emerge—both for the individual and those around them. Once you learn to see neurodivergence, you will never unsee it.
Even as an “expert,” I have missed neurodivergence in my therapy clients. I deeply understand the vulnerability and shame that can accompany admitting a missed diagnosis. It is a reality that happens to the best of us, and that is why I advocate for bringing neurodivergence into your initial diagnostic inquiries and curiosity.
My workshops are designed to provide a safe, judgment-free environment where not having all the answers is welcomed and growth can occur.

ND Affirming
Sadly, our field (and society) is often nonaffirming of the neurodivergent experience. My content seeks to break that cycle.
My workshops are about creating a neurodiversity affirming space. We'll provide options for alternative forms of communication, sensory tools, and ample brain-break times to ensure a supportive environment for everyone.

dynamic presenter
With over a decade of experience working alongside neurodivergent clients of all ages—and living in a neurodivergent household myself—my journey in this field has profoundly shaped my perspective. Even with specialized expertise, I remain committed to continual growth, both as a clinician and as a parent. My approach as a presenter is rooted in curiosity, humility, and a belief that we learn best together.
As a presenter, I believe in being the facilitator of a collaborative space, where everyone’s insights contribute to our collective understanding. Neurodivergent voices are not just welcomed—they are vital to enriching our experience and deepening our learning.
Specializing in neurodivergence means embracing the ever-evolving nature of the field. I encourage questions, invite dialogue and feedback on my own blindspots, and share resources freely, recognizing that each attendee brings valuable knowledge and perspective.
Neurodivergence is not a deviation from the norm, but a unique expression of the extraordinary diversity of the human mind
